Re: Professional, Public and Community Services - Form 112-2 at Bottom (& others)

Community Development Justice – Solutions not just Services

Needed - Cause Oriented Architects / Afro-American -Minority Architects-Solutions

setting the trend for all architects. Community Development Justice – Solutions not just Services

Technically speaking this recommendation should be top priority.

Firstly, Black-Afro/African-American and minority architectural professionals are faced with an enormous amount of community (and world) development responsibilities, and to record these activities would give justice to the majority of time spent and allocated to bring about economic community change and development for the betterment of communities (or the architecture of communities/matrix of development/communication).

Attached is my new proposal for what I term as “Needed Architectural Communications / Community (Cause) Service (Professional, Public & Community Services) requirement.

This revised form would be one page form or a form divided into 4 sections for describing different activities or different types of community participation.

Communication affects the local, national and world community (architecturally) socially, economically, culturally, ethically, politically and historically and therefore as the resultant architecturally.

Surmising that in order to bring about better professional, public and community communication, we as a country and world nation are in need of ARCHITECTURAL COMMUNICATIONS as a major part of architectural skills for the betterment of social - public and community development purposes.

I have always been the leading model and scholar in my academic life and I still aspire to maintain my position as the leading world / architectural scholar. Therefore I wish to make NEEDED / Cause Oriented Architectural Communications (Community / Development Justice) an important asset and requirement for NCARB Certification.

This would assist and differentiate architects and young aspiring architects goals and initiatives and help convey a commitment to the real practice of architecture, which is community justice (in the business, public private community environment), and therefore breakdown the negative stereotypes that exist, dominate and are prevalent in the architectural field today and well as historically. This would also help convey a message to the educational community and public at large that architecture is not a field of get rich quick scheme based professionals witch drills people, businesses and organizations for money to satisfy profiteering based or corrupt initiatives – such as (the high price of) architectural design/planning services, design without concern or design for self grandeur or glorification etc.).

Negative architectural stereotypes are ruining the progressive development initiatives of the Black-Afro/African-American architectural community / marketplace out of business and out of public admiration.

I would emphasize the positive and emphasize that the duty of Architects are Advocates of meeting the NEEDS of all the communities and are not just profiteers, they provide genuine solutions address not just services. By making my proposed and required page one page long this will be.

Provided is my resume for the model which I have constructed for this initiative.
